If life must drain away must our memory? We say that people live in our memories, binding our existence (our after life) to theirs. Roy's memories disappear when he dies, he does not. His humanity does not lie in his lifespan (a promise never kept) but in his life, and to die and live on is perhaps one of the most human of acts.
